Zara Houndstooth Sunglasses

One of my most recent purchases is this pair of gorgeous hounds-tooth sunglasses from Zara. Yes, I know hounds-tooth was a strong Autumn trend but I feel this print is still really strong for the upcoming spring. Teamed with pastel clothing or accessories, I feel it creates an edge to a somewhat girly outfit. This is one of my favourite things to do as before now, I was not a fan of pale colours, however now, paired with a bold monochrome print I think the limp pastel colours become strong contrasting pieces in themselves.
Previous to this purchase I bought a pair of hounds-tooth trousers, also from Zara, which I can honestly say I've worn incessantly throughout the past Autumn and Winter months. I also plan to wear them in spring livening there dark print with some pastel spring colours.
What I really love about these glasses is not only there strong print, but their strong frame. The thick framing and over sized structure allow them to become a statement piece, again adding an edge to a girly outfit. The delicate cat flicks however regain
some femininity by emphasizing the eyes and creating a catlike structure to the face. The lenses have a slight ombre which I love because it shades my eyes from the brightest light and creates another great feature to the sunglasses. Not only that but they are 100% UV protective which a major plus. I do not buy sunglasses without the protection but nowadays even the cheapest sunglasses, even some Primark ones, have UV protective lenses.
Another aspect of my purchase I loved, was its packaging. Unlike sites such as ASOS where the sunglasses only come with a felt or nylon sleeve, these glasses came in a gorgeous hard faux leather hard case in a tan colour. I feel this stylish case will really help to protect the glasses from the wear and tear usually caused by the contents of my handbag. Not only that but they ALSO include a felt sleeve for if you want to wipe your lenses or store them in something a little smaller. Both cases have the Zara logo on them but surprisingly this doesn't put me off. I thought the great colour of them gave a sophisticated appearance to the branded cases, making the logo a little less prominent.
Since purchasing these this winter,I've heard some say 'sunglasses aren't for winter'. Aren't for winter?! These glasses create a cool vibe in any season, so why stick to summer? No matter what season I think a pair of sunglasses are a must and these are just perfect.

  1. There are many places online that have a large selection of cheap men's sunglasses, but do not be afraid to call up and speak to a sales person if you want to find out more information about what you like.
