Neon
For some, like myself, wearing neon is not something I feel I look great in.However it is very on trend at the moment and I've been looking for a small piece of neon to add to my wardrobe. This will just be a quick blog today but I've spotted something I think is great for those, like me, who do not feel they can pull off large blocks on neon clothing! I spotted my friend Yas wearing this gorgeous little necklace in a rusty gold colour with small neon beads. She found it in Miss Selfridge in a pack of three with similar necklaces.Sorry for the bad picture but had to snap on the go!

My favourite lipstick at the moment - Up the Amp
As the summer months are now upon us, I was in search of a bright coloured lipstick that wasn't the typical coral shade - for example Mac, Costa Chic. When I was looking through youtube videos and other people's blogs, I came across Up the Amp by Mac. This is one of Mac's most well known shades and is a true purple.
The lipstick is in a bright purple colour with blue undertones and I can appreciate that for some people this may be too bold for everyday use. However coral coloured lipsticks completely washes me out so I turned to this and I absoloutely love it!
Up the Amp is an amplified lipstick. For those who do not know Mac lipsticks come in several formula's. Creemsheen for instance is a highly pigmented, hydrating
formula and is great for everyday use. There are also others including Matte and frost - frost being a sheerer coverage. Amplified however is a Mac's most pigmented lipstick and the colour lasts for hours. I have found that Up the Amp lasts for around 5 hours on me, this can also be said to be true for Mac's other amplified lipsticks. One thing I absolutely love about this lipstick is the stain it leaves on the lip. It doesn't bleed or flake, it just leaves a light purple stain left if it hasn't been reapplied, which is lovely.
If you're looking for a bold alternative for summer I would definitely purchase this lipstick! For those wanting a lighter, less obvious purple I would suggest Lavender Whip or Snob. For those looking for another purple to add to their collection, I would suggest Heroine or Rebel which is darker with more pink in it!
Love this lipstick, gorgeous!

Jelly Sandals, love them or hate them?
When I first saw these in Topshop I just had to have them! They reminded me of the plastic sandals I wore when I was around four. Not only are these totally retro but they come in the most fun colours! The Brand Julu make these for Topshop, however looking online they do a far bigger variety of colours than Topshop stocks. In store I could only get coral or a deep, royal blue although online they do stock other colours such as mint green. As the summer months are looming I decided on getting the bright coral and I love them!
Comfort wise they're not the best. Don't get me wrong they're okay for a morning but not when you're walking to and fro around town. When wearing them they appear to have a flat base so they're not the best for supporting your feet. However I do feel that unlike the Jelly Sandals I remember, they are a lot more flexible and comfortable. They also can get very sweaty in the heat! I highly recommend doing a 'Rita Ora' and wearing them with a pair of frilly socks.
Over all I would say I love these shoes! Although slightly uncomfortable for walking long distances in, I think they have a cool, retro vibe. Some may hate them but its a definite thumbs up from me! Love Love Love!
Check them out on Ebay or at Topshop :http://www.topshop.com/webapp/wcs/stores/servlet/CatalogNavigationSearchResultCmd?langId=-1&storeId=12556&catalogId=33057&beginIndex=1&viewAllFlag=false&pageSize=20&searchTermScope=3&searchTermOperator=LIKE&searchType=ALL&sort_field=Relevance&searchTerm=jelly+sandals&x=-1135&y=-41
